Rams vs. New Mexico

17 Point Rally Comes Up Short
A furious fourth quarter surge came up short as the Rams dropped a 37-34 decision to New Mexico on Friday night.
The Rams scored twice in the fourth quarter, first with a 15 yard pass to David Anderson in the end zone and again with 3:07 to play on a Bradlee Van Pelt 1-yard run that tied the game at 34-34. The Ramís defense then held New Mexico, forcing a punt with 1:02 left. Taking over at their 32, the Ramís first play ended in a fumbled snap by Van Pelt, setting up the game winning field goal for the Lobos.
The Rams return to action at home next Saturday to take on San Diego State at 1:00 p.m. at Sonny Lubick Field at Hughes Stadium. Twenty seniors will make their final home appearance during the regionally-televised game.
